]]>Snowboarding enthusiasts, buckle up for an in-depth exploration of the 2024 YES Jackpot snowboard. Known for its powerful versatility and agility, the Jackpot is turning heads and carving fresh lines in the snowboarding scene.
As a true twin, the YES Jackpot stands out with its symmetrical design, giving riders the flexibility to ride switch or regular with equal ease. Its centered design lends itself to the skate park-style rider who's always on the lookout for the next jump, rail, or side hit. From popping off 180s to soaring over the big jumps, this board does it all with style.
The YES Jackpot features a true camber design, which means this isn't a board for the novice rider. Its powerful and responsive nature demands an experienced hand, but don't let that deter you – once mastered, it rewards its rider with an exhilarating performance.
Despite its inherent strength, the board's flex is surprisingly forgiving, rated seven out of ten on the YES scale. Its unique design exhibits stiffness between the feet for stability, softening out towards the tail. This makes it more playful, perfect for buttering and landing your tricks. But remember, you'll need to place your weight correctly to get the most out of this board – center your weight over the bolts and into the tail for a solid press.
The YES Jackpot is also ideal for those who love getting airborne. Its inherent camber design is made to pop you up and provide stable landings. Once you've set that tail down, you're ready to go again. The board's stability is assured by YES's signature mid-bite design. This feature allows the board to maintain a wider profile for stability while stepping in at the middle for a narrow waist, leading to quicker edge-to-edge turning.
Beyond its park prowess, the YES Jackpot is highly versatile, thanks to the mid-bite technology. This feature also provides excellent grip and enables you to drive out of turns efficiently, making the board an ideal choice for cruising around the resort when you're not tearing it up in the park.
For bindings, the Union Forces come highly recommended. Their stiffness and responsiveness match the Jackpot's seven out of ten flex rating, creating a balanced and harmonious ride. Other worthy options include the Bataleon Chaos, the Blaster, and the Union Stratas, which would pair up nicely with this year's graphics – especially if you're a fan of green.
If you're familiar with the snowboarding market, you might compare the Jackpot to the Bataleon Evil Twin, the Capita DOA, the Nitro T1, or the Salomon Huck Knife. Like the Jackpot, these boards are twins, cambered, and designed for that "scady," shredding-around-the-mountain style.
In conclusion, the 2024 YES Jackpot offers a versatile, powerful, and highly maneuverable experience for riders who appreciate a playful, yet stable, ride. It's a fantastic addition to the snowboarding scene, perfect for those who love a true cambered twin board that is versatile both in and outside the park. As always, feel free to drop any questions or comments below, and don't hesitate to reach out via live chat, email, or phone for more insights.
]]>Hey, shredders! This is an in-depth review of two game-changing snowboards from the 2024 lineup - the YES Basic and YES Typo.
The YES Basic is a perennial bestseller, and for good reason. Perfect for those at the beginner-intermediate stages of their snowboarding journey, it comes loaded with user-friendly features designed to boost your ride.
One of the highlights of the Basic is its true twin shape. This feature allows it to ride both ways, making it an ideal choice for those who are still discovering their preferred riding style. The board carries a camber between the feet and a rocker extending through the nose, creating an excellent balance of stability and playfulness, perfect for the beginner.
The Basic employs YES's unique underbite technology on the outline, stepping in under the feet. This innovative design not only provides extra support on icy days but also enables tighter turns, enhancing the board's overall maneuverability.
While it's designed to forgive your beginner's mistakes, the Basic doesn't compromise on performance. The presence of camber under the feet and energized rails ensures a smooth transition into carving, resulting in an enjoyable learning curve.
The YES Basic is aptly named; it's the baseline board suitable for any rider and any condition. Even the most experienced riders appreciate its balanced mix of playfulness and functionality.
Moving on to the YES Typo, this board retains the successful design of the Basic but carries a few significant enhancements. The Typo stands out as a slightly stiffer board, offering a more responsive riding experience. It is well-suited for riders who have mastered the Basic or those seeking a board that can take on a bit more action.
One of the primary upgrades in the Typo is its sintered base, a superior option compared to the extruded base of the Basic. While the sintered base may require more waxing, it has a better wax absorption rate and offers faster rides - a trait that speed lovers will greatly appreciate.
Furthermore, the Typo has a slightly set back to directional, which means it's designed primarily for forward riding. It's ideal for those who love bombing runs, providing a little more nose for stability while still retaining the ability to ride switch with ease.
The YES Typo is your go-to board if you're unsure about your riding style or simply want an all-rounder that's better, stiffer, and more responsive. It is not only great for Australian conditions, but it's also a solid fit for any snowboarding destination worldwide.
In conclusion, the 2024 YES Basic and YES Typo boards are set to revolutionize the snowboarding scene with their innovative design and top-tier performance. Their seamless blend of functionality and adaptability truly sets them apart. If you've had the chance to ride one of these boards, we'd love to hear your thoughts!
Remember to stay tuned for more reviews, and feel free to share your experiences or questions in the comments below. Here's to hitting the slopes with style!

2022 is here, everybody! We are having a look at the Union Force Binding.
We got some new colorways here in the orange with - boom! - Team Highback. Just the orange in the Team Highback. Your regular highback is there.
You've got that honeycomb strap. Probably one of the dopest looking bindings and the most functional bindings out there in the market. It's been our number one seller. Pretty much the whole team here at Union rides these bindings.
This is your All-Mountain do-everything. For a binding that's super responsive, I've just found that it has a lot of comfort when you ride ‘cause you got a really sturdy highback but it's not like that overly stiff sort of situation. The new orange is pretty fresh, ultra light, honeycomb strap sort of style. They're custom rear toe moulded.
You can't really go wrong with these babies. 2022 lookin' fresh in the Forces.
]]>Kneeboarding is one of the best watersports to do in the summer. As the name implies, kneeboarders ride on their knees as they are pulled through the water by a speedboat without requiring the rider to pull themselves into a standing position. Because it demands less in the way of practice and upper body strength, it’s a great way to learn how to ride the wake for those who want to get out on the water and start having fun straight away.
If you’re looking into getting into kneeboarding, it’s important to choose the right kind of board for you. Your kneeboard can greatly influence your experience on the water so here are a couple of important factors to consider to make sure you choose the right board for your needs.
There are essentially two different types of boards to choose from. Each type of kneeboard is designed for a different type of rider.
In addition to the type of board, there are also two separate board styles. The board style determines the type of use. Regardless of your skill level, you should choose a board style based on what you plan to do in the water.
Ready to find the perfect kneeboard? We’ve listed and reviewed the best kneeboards available right now. These boards are perfect for all kinds of different riders and skill levels.
All new and exclusive to Fluid, our Cinch board has a parabolic twin-tip symmetrical shape that gives maximum lift and smooth transitions during tricks while the bevelled edge ensures a forgiving ride. This board is perfect for all the family, it features our QF retractable flip toe hook and is very smooth to ride, giving you easy deep water starts and has great stability. The Cinch has a deep channel kneepad with a hook lock strap so you can really strap yourself in for a solid ride.
The new 2022 HO Sports Neutron Kneeboard is an all-around kneeboard the entire family can use and has the handle hook to make it easy to get up on this board. The Neutron has a twin-tip design and can be used in either direction, a continuous rocker that allows bigger jumps and softer landings, symmetrical sidecuts for better stability, four permanently installed fins for better tracking, and a large moulded rubber knee pad for maximum comfort. It also has a Powerlock single locking strap that is easy to use. The rectangular shape supports a wider weight range because it has more surface area than the oval-shaped boards.
2022 Hyperlite Joker Kneeboard
Originally designed in 1994 by Tony Klarich, the Joker has become the best-selling kneeboard of all time. Beginners and serious shredders alike choose its proven high-performance shape and symmetrical profile. The square tip, tail shape, and 2-stage rocker design maximize pop off of all wake sizes forward and backward. The Joker’s Locking Edge Channels allow you to lock in for fakie take offs and landings. In addition, the dual-density kneepad allows comfortable cushy landings. Lastly, we’ve added the Powerlock single locking knee strap for maximum comfort and ease of use. The graphics come straight from DC Comics’ artist, giving the Joker board that distinct fun yet mischievous look.
Tempest for the serious boarder we have introduced a high-performance shape and symmetrical profile. The square tip and tail shape and 2-stage rocker design maximize pop off of all wake for all levels of riders. The Tempest's Edge Locking rails allow you to lock in for fakie take offs and landings. In addition, the tri-density ergonomic kneepad, allow for comfortable cushy landings. Lastly, we include the front inserts to allow the addition of the Jobe Handle Hook. This board looks every bit as good as it performs and will be sure to produce the goods.
The Kidder Missfire is the premier model of the range, consisting of Kidder's signature fibreglass design, providing that smooth ride that has become expected. A PBT top allows the construction of the kneeboard stronger and more durable, while full-length rails under the base provide maximum edge hold into the week while allowing for plenty of pop off the wake. Providing maximum comfort is a dual-density EVA pad and a neoprene lined strap, giving a soft touch to your knees and making going big easier than ever.
This entry-level kneeboard is packed with features and great value for money like a diamond tip & tail for quick release off the wake and effortless spins. It has a small subtle flat rocker for consistency, a symmetrical sidecut for maximum stability, a retractable pop up hook for kids, a large orthotic knee pad for a comfortable ride, and a single locking strap for maximum comfort.
Whether you’re a big fan of watersports or are just interested in trying something new like riding a wake for the first time, then kneeboarding is something you might want to consider. Kneeboarding is an activity that kids and adults alike can enjoy regardless of skill levels.
Always remember to choose a kneeboard that suits your needs. There are loads of different options out there, so pay attention to the details. This will make a big difference in your overall kneeboarding experience.

Wakeboarding is a water sport in which the rider, standing on a wakeboard (a shortboard with foot bindings), is towed behind a motorboat across its wake and especially up off the crest to perform aerial maneuvers.
The simplest way to define wakeboarding is a combination of three sports --- surfing, water skiing, and snowboarding. Primarily in wakeboarding, the rider is fastened to a specific wakeboarding board and towed behind a boat. Speeds can reach as high as 30 miles per hour, so plenty of practice and a steady fitness level is encouraged.
Wakeboarding is done for pleasure and competition, ranging from freestyle wakeboarding and wakeboard parks to wakeboard competitions at the X Games, WWA Wakeboard World Championships, or similar events.
There are a variety of gears you need to have when wakeboarding. You’ll need a wakeboard and, of course; protective gears such as vests, boots, and water accessories.

YEAR 11 COMES WITH A NEW SENSE OF MATURITY AND PURPOSE THAT YES. ENTHUSIASTICALLY EMBRACE.
YES. Established. Solid. Reliable. Leading. Not that any of them are surprised. But there were skeptics that thought a few pros launching a brand in 09’ would not survive when the giants of the industry were scrambling to keep their losses to a minimum. In the midst of a recession, YES. pushed back against the relentless race-to-the-bottom the establishment had normalized throughout the retail world the previous 2 decades. They stayed away from bulk sales strategies, unsustainable margins and the hyperbole being shamelessly peddled in the tech pages. YES. has since day one, focused on delivering real value through design and rider experience that sometimes costs a little more. But you can bet that the material descriptions are honest. The shapes are innovative for a reason. The ride is real and their confidence is simply a result of the same passion they had as groms, growing up and finding their groove.
It’s also a word that gets slapped on the YES. crew and one they’ve spent almost a decade steering away from for fear of it pigeon-holing them into something less than what they are. So YES. thought it was time they looked back at the word and asked themselves what it really means.
YES. history begins with the simple definition most people would think of. Kickers, spins, rotations, park jumps, half-pipes and backcountry cheese wedges. Contests or not, this is where the genesis of the founders and the brand lie. Truth be told, this is where much of their own day-to-day riding still is. But when their passion and focus evolved beyond the kickers, and YES. sought an experience far outside the park, they thought that maybe they had outgrown the labels of their youth. YES. thought it wasn’t surf enough. It wasn’t backcountry enough. And it most certainly wasn’t pow enough. But the truth is, freestyle is not an X-Games or Olympic discipline, it's the attitude and approach to their brand that goes way beyond the act of snowboarding. It’s the freedom to express themselves with style. YES. style. On YES. terms. And they express this every day through board design, graphic development, campaigns, collabs, marketing initiatives and attitude. YES. do it by reaching deep into their true selves, ignoring the noise and allowing themselves the freedom to do things differently. To pull influences from unexpected places, approach choices from a new angle and sometimes to deliberately go in the exact opposite direction of everyone else, just to see what happens. And that’s why YES. looks a little different. It’s why a YES. board rides a little different and why this brand just feels different. It’s because they’re free style.
Over the years and more increasingly, YES. has been honorably recognized by industry thought-leaders and various media channels. When you consider that an almost-non-existent ad-budget does nothing to sway or influence these voices, it is with true honor that YES. appreciate and value these awards. For you the customer it means un-biased, 3rd-party validation that their innovative design theories make a difference on-snow. Adding enjoyment to an already blissful experience, and adding value to whatever board you decide on.
What are some of your fondest memories / stories of your trips to Australia?
JP: I think my fondest memory was back in the day when we did an official UNINC tour with DCP, Romain, Gigi and Danny Davis.
Remember Volkswagon had gifted us the new Touareg and a new bus to take from the Goldcoast back down to Sydney so we could incorporate it in the footage and we had a food fights while driving to Falls Creek, nothing was ever off the menu in terms of what we were tossing at each other. We actually ended up sinking the Touareg in a river and watched it float downstream and the bus suffered from a yeasty/moldy ventilation system from food all the food that ended up there. Ultimately I think both cars were totaled but the content from that trip was priceless. I have to add that I’m not particularly proud of that outcome but I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as much as I did on that trip.
I’m grown up now lol.
DCP: I love travelling to Australia a lot. It's great every time but I think when my trip involve some snowboarding, surfing and partying is when I created the best memories. Riding with let's split crew , showing the balance movie, surfing empty bells on a Sunday and even the times I came with Uninc when I was younger ... Oz is always good !
What are you looking forward to in your future snowboarding?
JP: I think to enjoy it as much as possible, especially in the wake of all this pandumbic shit. There are so many things I took for granted like a good turn or pointing it down the hill, I think my boarding will improve because I’ll appreciate it that much more!
DCP: I' m looking forward for deep powder with good friends. Anywhere . But also, I am hoping to keep mixing snowboarding and surfing in the same location. I live for that kind of stuff ... Truly
Yes has expanded into apparel. Can you share a little about that journey and why?
JP: We really wanted to get that message out there and also promote the cause beyond snowboarding, maybe pull some poor souls in that never even got on a board. We all live the YES. lifestyle and it’s about uniting positivity, something the world could do with more of right now.
So if YES. snowboards is about the action YESonLIFE is all about the moments in between :)
DCP: YES. we did , it's called YESonLIFE , we wanted to create a premium line of clothing that would fulfill those '' moments in between '' , as we say YES. Snowboards is the action in snowboarding , YESonLIFE is all those moments in between, so truly lifestyle-oriented. It's an extension of our message , we want to spread the positive vibes and the love of snowboarding and that lifestyle.
If you had to ride the one board for the rest of your days, what would it be?
JP: GREATS without a doubt in my mind.
DCP: I would love to ride the Hybrid 53 I guess then... It's great in pow, but also great on the resort to go around ... And you can ride it switch too ... Maybe if I could have a 157 as well though ... Haha for the deeper days and the faster-more committing terrain.
If you had to ride the one location for the rest of your days, what would it be?
JP: Japan
DCP: Whistler Backcountry
What is your favorite YES. graphic that you guys have done so far?
JP: The ChiModu Collab with his images of 2Pac, Biggie, Wu-Tang/ ODB and Eazy E before money ruined what people now consider Hip Hop.
DCP: I really liked that Greats Series : the one with Terje, Peter line etc on them. I liked them because it was giving respect and honouring the legends of our sport.
Has the board length you ride (for 1. regular resort riding & 2. pow riding) changed much in the last 10 years?
JP: Well considering that surface area is now how I determine what the board will do for my ride length is less important. Length does a play a vital roll in how you wanna draw your turn while dancing down big faces on big mountains. Less length makes it easier to flow in tight trees.
DCP: It has. I always used to ride a 160 cm or a PYL 159 for everything. 164cm for ak sometimes even ... Then we introduced the 420 , which is a shorter-wider board designed to ride powder but that you can totally do freestyle on ... From that moment on, I started loving shorter -wider board better ... Since I love powder lots ... That's why my new favourite is the hybrid 153 or 157.
Yes has started making some custom surfboards. Can you share a little about that journey and why?
JP: It’s just a thing where we all love to board whether it’s on snow, waves or concrete… We have the opportunity to make really really good high performance boards with graphics that we rock on our snowboards, its just an added opportunity that we are having tons of fun with.
DCP: Because surfing is deep in our DNA , from what we love doing in the off season to the inspiration for board designs , surfing is very important for each of us. We have this friend Basti in Bali, Indonesia, he runs a surf factory and loves snowboarding. We all decided together that we would love making surfboards as display for tradeshows and for us to ride , that way we could add snowboard graphics to the boards ... JP has been involved with the shaping a bit while visiting Bali and the YESonLIFE factory there, so, now, we can make custom boards to order ... I am very stoked on them, as they are high-performance boards and I love the shapes.
What things are most stoked on for the 20/21 YES. line?
JP: Well our powder hull technology will take a quantum leap this time around so I’m extremely stoked on that! We finally have a hybrid in a smaller size. (153 ) and the Greats look amazing! All in all I’m very pleased with what we are bringing to the table!
Thank you guys for all the love over the years, Australia has a very special place in our hearts and we can not wait to come back back down when the time is right!
DCP: I'm super excited for the 420 family - Quiver Series . We now are offering 2 lengths for kids, and 3 other lengths for the grown-ups men and women. The 420 quiver goes from 125, 135, 145 , 148 and 152. I also am very excited about introducing a split board. I wouldn't say we are late to the party but we are fashionably late. Never on schedule but always on time !!!

The most advanced 3-Stage rocker wakeboard ever made just got some new additions. A new shape with added fuse stringers, channels, a redeveloped profile, and a faster, more controlled bottom design, with the same proven iconic 3 - stage lift off the wake.
Unmatched modernization in a continuous wakeboard. The 2019 WSIA innovation of the year is back with a new look, a bigger size, and an added dose of secret sauce. The world of wakeboarding just changed again with the best blend of response, feel, weight, and ultra- soft landings ever developed – brought to you by the people who created the wakeboard. A technology designed board series endorsed by Massi.
The legend of wakeboarding has created his most user-friendly board with this ultra - fast continuous rocker shape. We borrowed technology from the golf industry and ran dimples through the entire bottom of the board to reduce water friction for reduced drag.
Transcript:
Hello Chris O'Shea from WelcomeWakenSnow.com.au and we have Top 3 picks for the Ronix 2020 big boys here. Starting off with the One Time Bomb, Danny Harf Pro-Model, looks really really sleek this year. You got carbon fiber wraparound on the edge here. The rods, it's a classic 3 stage, Danny, shaped his 3 stage rocker has been getting good fun for many many years and just keeps getting better better.
3 stage boards, flat in the middle and then they're kicking up. So there's three different stages through the rocker and they really tend to explode and give you that straight up off, Danny really likes, and then also in the shape wise, he has a scoop down nose right there.
The scoop down nose is just gonna give you a really good release and this board comes in a few different constructions this is the Time Bomb construction which is super reactive so when the board hits the wake it flexes and then reacts. Gives you maximum pop has some rods that run through the board straight through there. So super super stiff board as well which is giving more stability more popin'. One board 2020 looks fire especially we put like the new Carbitex One Boot on that. RXT lightest board in the market.
Massi's been ripping this one. Continuous rocker board. This board rocker is continuous so it's a lot more predictable sort of pop than say 3 stage and the board is lighter. With this new secret core in this board, it's all about sort of the weight and the snap from, I don't know where they've got this call from, but usually with played around like I played around with and pass on it with some companies like boards that would like crazy lot and the issue is when they're that lot if they feel every bump and,
There's a lot of chatter but this core that they found and put in this board which is quite exy but what the dollars is really really damn bright. Yeah pretty sick, rad looking it's kind of got that see-through look. You can see a couple of rods through there and on the bottom he's got some pictures down as well. RXT fire up and then you got the Parks.
Parks' board looks model out this year. All black on the top. Matte Stripe through there really digging that and then you've got the colour pop on the bottom. Continuous rocker board which Parks board have always been quite aggressive through out.
This one a more forgiving shape for sure and then it's got little golf ball-like dimples in the bottom which irate the water underneath the board creating less friction making it easier and more effortless to hang on boards. You're not getting like much tension when you're dragging. Other thing about this shape is it's really wide through the center which is makes the board really stable and then has quite an aggressive side cup rolling into the nose so when you put this board on edge it's gonna be quite aggressive.
When it rolls in with that aggressive side cut they're definitely the sort of board that's gonna be good for laying on edge and getting on your back foot. Carving and stuff comes wide in the setup and then that side cup gonna have a really cool like surf feel to it.
That's a brief run-through of Top 3 picks boards for Ronix Board Line. Obviously we'll go through all these boards in a bit more detail than. There's a ton of tech features. Hit us up with any questions and yeah thank you.

Ultimate flex married with DUP’s signature durability. Tobias Michel is the new breed of rail rider, with a fresh outlook and style. It’s this fresh outlook and style that went into designing the Chilv.
Transcript:
Hello Chris O'Shea from WelcomeWakenSnow.co.au and today but we're having a look at the Double Up ChilV for 2020. This board is looking amazing this year. It got this bird house inspired graphic.
Super skate style gotta go up like this rad like white matte and just sort of fade out through here which has some lines through it. Big this graphic, it's the ChilV so that's a Toby's Pro-Model for DUP. You have the classic DUP on the bottom. To those of you that don't know much about Double Up, Double Up is the only Australian owned wakeboard company in the world and that's legendary.
Double Up been around seems like the early nineties, I reckon, with classic riders like Luke Wolf, one of the first Australians just dropping mad havens overseas. And yeah, super legit company and they're definitely bringing it with this new board. So it is features like got an upgrade this year on the base.
So the base of this board is the Dyna6 now. They used to put Dyna4. So it's a thicker more durable base and it's also a lighter. That's definitely one thing that you noticed when you grab this board, pick it up and it super super light and that's probably because of the Paulonia Wood Core. That has which is your lightest, most snappy wood that you can have in a wakeboard. It also got a sizing length. It's come in a 137, a 141 and 145.
So a good little size range right there and DUP says does the shape of this board is a 3 stage rocker board which means it has three different stages through the rocker when I'm looking at it tho. I don't really see it just kind looks like continuous rocker board. Maybe it's like slightly here and here and kicks up a lil' bit more. The amount of rocker that the board has is about 3 inches of rocker. If you measure the rocker through the center here and 3 inches of rocker from my experience,
It gives you a board that has really really good pops still but isn't too much rocker towards where the board is gonna to be slow. This board is the softest board. That has the most flex in the DUP line and that's probably because ChilV loves to shred the rail. So it's a really good sort of around board than doing everything on the cable but yeah definitely sort of that rail guy that loves like pressing harder, getting to like solid presses.
Then we've also got what they called simple channel design. So real minimalist base but it has probably like 2 mill little stepping right here that runs down all the way to here and it kind of gets more and more faint from the nose. You got your nice lock in section here but also gives you just that a little bit more traction for like ollying up edge or if you want to do water tricks and stuff like that.
Same with the drop edge. So the edge here just drops down has ,a little bit, the drop, if you see there, that's gonna allow the board's locking on the edge stronger and then also release better. Yeah I think that's most of the features the ChillV. I'm super hyped on the way this thing look and it's gonna rot amazing.
The DUP team really step it up this year. Got some amazing riders that been recognize. I'm sure you've seen new rider Mitch Langfield for recommends, SIAM by Mitch and Jacob Vinall. Yeah, it's a real good one for 2020.
Any questions hit us up on the YouTube Channel or email and yeah 2020 DUP ChillV.

This hot off the press new Selekt park board with customized flex has up to 64 unique options. Depending on your mood, the terrain you’re riding, or what trick you want to work on that day, you can customize the flex pattern that will best suit you. For the past 3 years our riders and engineers have been working on prototypes of this board to dial in exactly where the flex points are and how soft or reactive, we need to make them.
Transcript:
Hello Chris O'Shea from WelcomeWakenSnow.com.au and this is the 2020 Ronix Selekt. This board is like its name the Selekt, you can select your flex.
So, cable board it's all about how you want the board flex, like all different riders like different flexes and then to prototype this thing for three years to get the first one in the industry that, you can customize your flex by taking these rods off and putting them on. You can add them as crossbeams.
Set it up 64 different options to flex on this bad boy right here. It's also the thinnest board out there so with all those rods taken off, the board is just a noodle and then you can stiffen it up however you like by adding the rods in many different - 64 different way.
You'll see there's a little lift up here cuz the board is so thin then added at the bottom underneath the feet which is gonna add a little dampening to the ride. That's just so that insert was like taken off otherwise would've been screwing something that was pretty sick. Then you got your Sintered Base.
Sintered Base, higher Sintered Base but there's a few different types of sintered base but this is the higher sintered base so it's gonna lie all day long to use smashing rails brackets.
Made to last that's why it got that 6 month warranty on there. Also, with got popular Wood Core which is a lot of really really lot snappy wood core and yeah the select we've got demo day on tomorrow.
So pretty stoked to get out and have a burn on this one and I think the way I probably set it up is take these nose ones off because I like the flexy nose and keep it stiff in the middle but it's gonna be fun to have a fire around on.
Anyway hit us up with any questions on the YouTube channel and yeah, this is the new Selekt for 2020.

Transcript:
Hello everybody, Chris O'Shea from WelcomeWakenSnow.com.au and today we're having a look at the new 2020 Ronix One Carbitex Boot. New boot in the line for Ronix.
It's a Big Brother I guess you could call to the Ronix One Boot which is been Danny Harf pro model for quite some time. Now I'm looking at this boot it looks really still and it's got this new carbon carbitex material which is basically like a special type of carbon fiber that is designed to flex one way and then be stiff the other way.
So the reasoning behind this would be it makes the boot lighter for one but then it also means that Danny can have a softer flexing boot that is gonna be flexing more this way but then still be rigid when you flex it laterally. So when you're going really big and you're landing super hard this boot isn't gonna fold over and it's gonna stop me from going in the front sort of thing opposed to say the RXT boot which is a lot softer boot.
It folds both ways quite softly and if I compare it to just a regular one boot now which has all the features as well without the carbitex, the one boots a little bit heavier and then the Flex is I would say you know it's it's a little bit stiffer overall. This place a little bit softer that way but then it's probably stiffer laterally.
Now moving right along let's move into talking about some of the new features on this boot right here. The new features for this year they have upgraded and come up with a new intuition liner.
So the new intuition liner is going to multi feet better than ever. So that's the newest. If don't know what intuition is it's basically the inside of the boot we heated up. So if you buy this from the store come in we put this on a special machine.
It'll heat this boot up and we'll sit your foot in there tighten the boot up and at all the inside of the boot will mold to the contours of your feet. Also new on this boot this year is the Pro S.O.L.E. so the Pro S.O.L.E. is a new material that they've come up with that is more reactive and it's basically going to give you cushier landings and also be more reactive and more explosive.
So when you hit that way you're gonna get even more pop from this new Pro S.O.L.E. that they just have came up with it's probably the most advanced S.O.L.E. in the industry so far. And also the new 3D molded toe cap which looks really really cool super nice that will just multi fee and be super durable as well.
All right now let's take a look at the brain frame features which is the features that spread across the line through the One Boots and RXTs and quite a few of that boots through the line. So first of all you got the shell lace which is this really really durable material right here.
So in and out of your boots cinching in them up all day long this boots gonna last it's not going to wear off and the laces aren't going to cut in just going to be really really durable. And then you've got skeleton frame which is an inner frame working which is like a plastic frame that sort of wraps up here and then it wraps around there so you've got to the come there and then you've got three that run through there and they all connect and get pulled together as you do it boot up giving you maximum fit foot control.
Then you got baseless baits plate which is means that it's baseless. So this Pro S.O.L.E. is on the bottom of the boot and that's just straight on the board giving you a lot more board feel which more board feel means more control. And yeah opposed to just having a base plate with a sole on top having this just give you that ultimate feel on the water which is what we want and then also looking at the base here as well you've got the maglock which is these two beams that run through here and through here.
They stiffen up the base plate so in this boot is locked down on the board. You're getting maximum heel to toe. No lift in the boot. More control edge. And then you have the tape au which is basically just this red outline bit right here which is just going to protect your board from getting damaged at all. And that's a full run-through of nearly all the features I think that's covering most of it. Super light crazy sick. Comes in this Rad Bag that like bag it's on board bag comes in this rad bag this year.
And yeah if you have any more questions about boots sizing they come in sizes I think 6 through to 13 something on those lines. And yeah hit us up if you have any questions and yeah hope you liked the review. Have a good one!

The board you’re standing on is really important but the boots are your immediate contact to the board and to be able to trust the boots you are standing on is so important and I think it really dictates everything you do on the water.
In the winter of 2006, we went back to the humble roots, back to square one started Ronix with a simple philosophy, “How do we make the most comfortable footwear you can possibly make?”
At that point in wakeboarding, most riders had to use some type of a soap to get their feet into the boots and often cases they also had to get their feet out of the boots. We changed the landscape of footwear.
From the most advanced heat-moldable custom orthotic liners, all of our boots coming on a baseless design, coming in over a pound lighter and getting you a stronger connection to the board. It really changed how we approached boots.
All these components make up a single one boot. This is the flex form heel panel, put this on the back of the boot so that when you tighten it, it stretch and moves with the rider.
This is an ankle support panel. This goes on the inside of the boot you will never see this but what this does is protects from the plastic of the skeleton.
I feel like Ryder's consumers can sense that about us that of our commitment level to boots is so so much deeper. Biggest thing to sum that up is from day one, we wanted to hit it from a lot of different angles we wanted to have an industrial designer that's more focused on cut lines.
We wanted to have an engineer that's designing the ultimate chassis system. We wanted to have a product manager that's overseeing it all, brand manager and really have a complete footwear division.
If you look at our one collection there's 76 different components coming from 22 suppliers and eight countries to build a single boot not because it's cheaper but because it's better. We want to make the best footwear and it's so cool that I'm allowed to have an unlimited budget of what can we do to be better. It's a unique mentality that I haven't found any other company.
We use a lot of videos to look at like lenience to boot and a different needs between boat riders and cable riders at hard landings and stuff. So we were trying to come up with some stuff to give the rider support. This is some stuff you tried for when we first got into HP stuff.
We test hundreds and hundreds of samples out at Lake Ronix in Orlando. We got a lot of really fun projects. One that stands out to me is the Kinetic boot. It took many many different prototypes to get the walkable boot to the point where it is exactly as comfortable as a traditional Ronix boot.
We didn't want to sacrifice anything that was found in our high-end range just to have a walkable liner. We spent about 4 years and over a hundred prototypes to get the fit exactly the way we wanted it.
For every model in our line, there's been at least 20 to 50 prototypes built to get it to where it is on the Shelf. There's really no holding back. There's no boundaries of financial tooling budgets or what we can spend. It simply let's go out and find the best materials across the world and let's build the best boots to bring to the market for the upcoming season.
We were the first to make an adaptive chassis to wear as you're cinching the laces it's actually forming around the top of your foot with a skeleton. We're the first to make a baseless boot getting you 1/3 lower and lighter. We were also the first to make it a heat-formed custom-fit liner regardless of however many firsts or awards or name like that.
If you're not really telling a tangible difference when you slip your feet in and go out for a session, it kind of doesn't mean anything.
What looks good in the selling feature might not necessarily look good of actually the tangible difference and that's all that really matters to us is what is it really doing for you regardless of what it's saying.

Hello Chris O'Shea from WelcomeWake.com.au and today we're gonna have a look at the Ronix Boots. Just a quick overview of the open toes and the closed toes and Ronix has some of the most tech boots in the industry.
2020 Ronix Open Toe and Closed Toe Wakeboard Boots
So there's a lot of features in here to go through so we'll go through each boot in other videos in detail. But that's just a quick overview starting you know you've got your Divide Boot and then goes into the District Boot.
2020 Ronix Open Toe Wakeboard Boots
The benefits of an open toes is that you can fit multiple sized feet in them. Size 7 through to size 10 or they come into a 10 to 14. So really good for that board that you want everyone to the other have a go on multiple feet sizes.
2020 Ronix Divide Wakeboard Boots
Yeah, Divide boot is gonna be a great boot that is gonna be a little bit less supportive than your District. So when you step up to the District, you will notice, I don't know if you can see it on the video there, it's a little bit fire and it's a little bit stiffer as well. So a bit more support and then the other thing that all these boots actually have is they have Ronix's brain frame technology which is a skeleton.
It's kind of like a ribcage within the boot that helps the boot when it's tightened up wrap around and give you like a really snug responsive fit. And then also the rods that they run through frame the brain frame.
Basically so when this boots lock down on the board, it's giving you maximum response heel-and-toe because it's not gonna lift up and it's gonna be down like on the heel undertoes. So you're getting heel to toe lifts and just transferring maximum energy heel to toe.
2020 Ronix Closed Toe Wakeboard Boots
And then for your closed-toe option you got the new Ronix One boot which looks really stealth this year and the RXT. RXT is the widest boot on the market and absolute killer boot. Did really really well last year. Plenty of features on this one. So, and brought these boots, so we'll go through in a bit more detail.
2020 Ronix One Wakeboard Boots
But mainly the thing about closed-toe boots is it's, it's for the guy that is buying a boot just for themselves to ride. So you can mold these boots to your feet. They're very customized too and they're gonna give you maximum response—close toe. You know, these are, these have molded 3D molded toe caps in both of these and actually will mold to feet on the insides.
Heaps of response and loads of features. They got the brain frame and so much more so, we'll cover that in some other videos. But that's basically quick rundown on the different strengths—closed and open toes and what you should be looking at.
And yes stay tuned for more videos, any questions hit us up on the YouTube Channel and yeah, thanks!

Cody Hesse is a Valdosta Wake Compound native, he's spent more time riding there than any other wake park. This experience has provided Cody a chance to ride almost every board out there and the Codyak is his vision. Selecting his favorite features and working with Aaron Stumpf to ensure the best construction possible, this is by far his favorite shape ever. Cody describes his new board saying "I shaped a simple, easy to ride board for everyone, like a standard shape with a narrow profile and thin as can be." Hyperlite in convinced you'll enjoy this free feeling, forgiving & festive new shape.
Alex Aulbach, building on his European signature model and passion for snowboarding, is happy to introduce his new shape, The Pleasure. This new Cable Collective shape isn't just for her or his pleasure, it's for all and was inspired by those top to bottom endless runs on the mountain, one of Alex's favorite pleasure points. The Pleasure delivers a speedy feel on the water and its Narrow Profile also makes transferring energy edge to edge a cinch. Our Fully Machined Wood Core distributes a consistent flex from tip to tail which is the key factor for Alex's Pleasure.
Flexy and forgiving ride, the perfect serving for your cable & winch adventures.
Inspired by Hyperlite's winch master Trever Maur, the Dipstick was created for first timers to the cable and those who abuse multiple boards in a season. The full wood E-Core will flex on rails and pop off the water with ease. With an ABS Tip & Tail Protector the Dipstick can take the hits dished out on the cable or while winching an urban setting. Our Sintered Enduro Base is the same quality Hyperlite's entire Cable Collective is known for. Trever designed the tip and tail shape to increase ollie power and lock in on presses.

Hello Everybody! Thanks for checking me at WelcomeWake.com.au. I'm Chris O'Shea, today we're gonna take a look at the top three Hyperlite cable boards, so top 3 boards, we just sort of picked three boards that kind of across the range in price so you got your HL Pleasure, Codyak and the Dipstick. The Pleasure is coming in at $899, $799 for the Codyak and $699 for the Dipstick.
So the Codyak is a new one to the line, it's Cody Hesse pro model this year has some really cool features-- Sintered Base. So this is their high end sintered base it's gonna be really good on rails and gonna be able to just take you know that fuse of just hitting features all day long. And then the other thing it's got is a Beveled Edge here.
So the edge is actually lifting up a bit on this board which is just going to stop you from hanging up and then also give you the rolls the edge is gonna be nice like-- edge, edge-- give you that surfboard feel a little bit like that. And then on the sidewall, you've got skateboard wheel material in here so that's gonna absorb impact really really durable, Wood Core and then also the board has sort of like a medium flex to it, in my opinion, but it's really thought to probably tell here, maybe, if I do that or that until like the board is thinner through the nose sections and then it gets thicker like there's more meat through the board through here.
So what that's doing is give you a board steep between the feet but then flexing more out in the nose and tail so your tails going to flex but this is stay nice and steep between the feet and give you that snap. And then also boards that are stiffer between the feet, generally, seem to curve better. So you can like get it on edge and just feel more stable than a different board, flexing heaps in between the feet, your feet are going to be going up and down and that's gonna affect the edge when you try to like get a nice edge. So just quick look at Cody, you will probably go through all of these boards in like detail a lot more in some other product reviews.
And then we've got the Pleasure here, Alex Aulbach, this is his pro model this year. Now something about this board that you'll notice is it's quite thin. This is probably one of-- One of thinner wakeboards on the market. Comes with their high-end sintered base, $899, this one has some channels through here which is just between the feet there so that's going to give you that lock in edge. Also go to Bevel, so not going to hang up on rails gonna be easy free also going to get that nice roll edge to edge, skateboard wheel material there, Medium Flex.
One thing that this board has that the Cody doesn't have, is it has a scoop in the nose here. So nice scoop through the nose, what that's gonna do is that's gonna allow you to lock into rails but the big thing with this board is because it's narrow it's gonna be really quick edge to edge. But with that narrow quickness what you want to focus on is getting the right size board. So for this board make sure that you size up because there's less surface area because it's narrower so if you normally ride like a 144 go to the 148. Board comes in a 144, a 148 and 152. If you have any questions about sizing or anything hit us up we're always available on email or phone or you know through the website. So that's the Pleasure, really really slick sort of shiny finish looks great this year and then you got the Dipstick which is $699. Really good price point. Really dirt graphic.
This is what Trevor Maur been riding on the cable. This board has quite a lot of rocker. Any one of the simple board that people can buy cheaper so then they can thrash it while they're winching and hitting concrete features and different things like that. So the board at the bottom, this there's no edge that there's no like lift it up side it's just plain but you still get your sintered base. It's made to last.
Probably the softest flexing board sort of out of these three I would say. And yeah just a plain Jane sort a sick looking board that's gonna be you know on the water and you're gonna be able to just trash it basically.
So that's the that's the top three boards that I would say to look out for the cable for Hyperlite this year and yeah looking pretty dope!

A series that recognizes wakeboarding is the only board sport where your hips and shoulders aren’t always parallel. Your body is crossed up riding toeside, and more inline riding heelside, and every aspect of the Vault takes this into consideration for the proper building block of wakeboarding.
Advancing your skills quicker with advanced shape technology. A complete entry level deck. Creating a shape to take riders' skills to the next level was the goal behind the new State 2.0.
This board with the rare trait of adapting to your style of riding just got an overhaul for 2020. We took one of our best-selling all-purpose series that rides without stereotypes and made it lighter, delivering more feedback, and noticeably softer landings.
Trever's Blueprint provides wakeboarders of all abilities a freewheeling and soulful ride that can break free in the flats and hook up on approach for a crazy pop off the wake. The deep long spine on the belly breaks up water and Trever says it's the "Softest landing board ever," allowing him to focus more on his tricks vs. hitting the sweet spot for landing.

Hello Chris O'Chae from Welcome Snow and Wake and today I'm here to show you a couple of beginner boards. A really good options that we like to get people started on is Ronix Vault. This is the new 2020 Vault, looks really good this year and the Hyperlite State here's another favorite ours and both of these have really similar features that we'll run you through right now.
2020 RONIX VAULT AND 2020 HYPERLITE STATE
So, both of these boards you will notice, have a big center fin. Big center fin is basically gonna help you get up on the water and start to turn around without slipping out. When you starting to learn how to ride, generally you start to like push your turns around and just slide out really easy until you learn how to like find that edge and then curve and like lean into your edges properly. Having this center fin in just means you're gonna get more water time, more time on board to sort of figure it out without slipping you know otherwise you're gonna get up, slip out straight away so that's one feature.
Both of these boards are actually designed by the same guy and he is like a world-renowned coach Mike Ferraro and he basically wanted to make at the boards different on the toe side edge, the heel side edge. So, you'll see on these boards, you actually have, so this is the heel side edge and that's the toe side edge. I don't know if you can see down there but basically tells you on there, saying that this one where to put the heels and the toes and the reason for that is, this edging on your toe side is a lot harder on a wakeboard so to try and help you get that good technique they've actually made the toe side edge a little bit longer than the heel side and same with this boy here you can sort of see in the nose.
I don't know if you can see that on there but this side is actually lower than this side. So this fin actually extends, like this fin actually extends up more just giving you better grip and it really just does make edging on that toe side easier for when you're getting going. Now, these boards are amazing wakeboards. They really will do you into like really high-end riding. So once you take the center fin out, this board is going to become a board that you can easily do your first flip, first spins and so on. Really from here like going up into like intermediate to pro board. Really all you're looking at is like the center fin is gone and then you start to get lighter, more snappier constructions that come through the line in all of these boards. So all your wakeboards are generally for boating. They gonna have a form core. There will be wood cores and different cores that come into play when you start going up and looking at different models but there's also different sorts of form.
So the big thing that happens is this is sort of your standard form which is a still really good form. But as you progress into those better forms they're going to have a better reaction time so what's happening when you hit the wake is that reaction time of the form is gonna snap you and it's just gonna give your board press a more snappier liftoff which you don't really that at start for sure. And you know there is guys out there that done like 1080s on these boards and stuff. So, this super super solid and you put a set of bindings on there with them. You're looking at $799 for both of these packages. They package out real nice binding. This set up right here which I think looks pretty nice from Ronix this year. It's actually the Divide Boot.
2020 RONIX DIVIDE BOOTS AND 2020 RONIX DISTRICT
So, the District Boot which we can take a look at is the new District. So this would be your next step up in the Ronix line and as you can see there's no center fin and this board actually got some upgrades this year as well, District. So what they've done with this board is that they made it slimmer so they're really really sleek out the edges like the new one is just like, you know, this board is really really fire. This is a sort of board that any sort of rider here, if you're an aggressive rider likes to cut hard, will go harder, if you want to ride this board mellow you can ride it mellow. Continuous rocker line is really where it's at but just having a board that's easy to ride and just consistent this is a board that I would love to ride. It got a scoop down nose as well which anything with a scoop down nose, it's just gonna give you a nicer release of the wake and from what I found with boards with that, do have that little scoop? It's definitely a nice feature just for getting that release off but yeah the new 2020 Ronix District is fire this year.
Like, it's so much lighter than last year's board with this less swing weight. Like this board yeah it's gonna ride really really nice so, it's definitely one to check out. Another boy wanna look at while we're here that I'm pretty psyched on, is the Hyperlite, the Blueprint. So this is Trever Maur, if you don't know who Trever Maur he is a California Shredder. He's done a bunch of movies. I've been privileged enough to work on him with some of the movies like riding and filming and reducing but it's a really really an amazing rider and this is new shape and this is probably the board that I'm most psyched about out of everything this year. What you're working with is a continuous rocker so it's gonna be nice and consistent the board looks quiet nice and wide and it's really neat with all the channels, I don't know if you can see that down through there. But there's all these different channels that run through this board that are just gonna make the board land really really soft but also, it's just, it just looks beautiful.
I just think it's just gonna have no drag at all. It's gonna roll really well. It's gonna land like this spine that runs all the way through here just gonna slice water super well. And it kind of comes all the way up through here but in the nose it's got a quite, it's hard to tell on the video I'm sure but, here it's got quite an aggressive scoop. So it like comes up which is gonna act a little bit more like a skateboard kick like. So as you come and you release off the wake, having that bit like lift up like that with scoop. It just gives the board that little bit more like, "Whoop up!" and it goes so kind of, you know, you're almost getting like a continuous rocker which continuously fast, landings are good, it's consistent.
But then with that little lift in the tail there, I think this board is really going to almost have that like three-stage like boost up off the wake at the same time. So really really light, yeah, I can't wait to get on this one this year, Trevor, excited on new board. Anyone out there that wants to get around this board for 2020, definitely take a look. It's one that I'm psyched to try out.
